    Sony announces color lens caps for E mount lenses


    Sony announced color lens cap ALC-F49AT with 49mm diameter. The color lens cap will be available in four different colors- white, pink, silver and gold. The front color lens cap will be available in a set of two different colors.

    Canon to fully automate lens production in Japan by 2013


    Canon will fully automate production of interchangeable lenses for digital single-lens cameras at its plant in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan starting next year. Canon eyes expanding the scope of unmanned manufacturing to its entire output of digital cameras in the future, with Japanese plants in Oita and Nagasaki prefectures named as possible candidates.

    Smart phone mobile brackets for DSLR’s


    Etsumi, photo and digital accessories company from Japan, today announced two mobile brackets for smartphones. The bracket can be used with DSLRS to attach your smartphone, while shooting. Bracket- E-6452, can be attached on the top of the DSLR, while bracket- E-6454, can be attached via a tripod to the side of the camera. The load-bearing of the brackets is 150g.

    Canon EOS 5D Mark II and EOS 7D Digital SLR Cameras used on the set of The Avengers


    Canon announced that its EOS 5D Mark II and 7D Digital SLR cameras have been used on the set of Marvel’s latest movie, The Avengers, to capture thrilling point-of-view (POV) action shots that can be seamlessly intercut with footage from the film’s principal 35mm and digital cinematography cameras to heighten the film’s visual impact. With intense action and visual effects captured by the Canon cameras, The Avengers required close-quarter action work with unrepeatable stunts. On the set of Marvel’s The Avengers, McGarvey and his crew used five Canon 5D Mark II cameras and two 7D models.
