15-meter-high solar-powered Christmas tree unveiled at the Mitsukoshi department store in Tokyo

Today Mitsukoshi department store in Tokyo's Nihonbashi district unveiled a 15-meter-high solar-powered Christmas tree with some 20,000 light emitting diodes. Mitsukoshi, Ltd. is an international department store chain with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in 1673. Mitsukoshimae Station on the Tokyo Metro is named after the adjacent Mitsukoshi department store. Mitsukoshi is the root of Mitsui group.
