Bowers and Wilkins M-1 bookshelf speaker system available in Japan

The advanced bookshelf speaker system M-1 from Bowers & Wilkins will be available in Japan from May through Marantz Japan. The most striking thing about the M-1 is the weight and strength of its curved aluminum cabinet. This is combined with a strong, glass-loaded ABS front baffle. Together they provide an excellent cabinet: the curved aluminium is stiff and the ABS offers excellent and appropriate damping characteristics. The metal dome tweeter includes Nautilus tube loading and 25mm neodymium magnets. When combined with the sub woofer PV1, you can have a high end home theater system. The sub woofer PV1 with Twin drivers have the dynamics and control to deliver all a subwoofer should, from the loudest movie effect to the delicate portrayal of the acoustic of a large concert hall and are coupled to 500 watts of ICE power amplification.

The M-1 is available in three color options - black, white and silver, each with chromium plated stem and table base. The M-1 speaker measure 114×172×243mm weigh 2.7kg and is available for approximately 29,400 Yen ($ 250).
