At the 2009 GSMA Mobile World Congress, Dolby will unveil details of Dolby Media Generator, a preprocessing and encoding solution for mobile multimedia content. Dolby Media Generator will use unique coding efficiencies that reduce files size and simultaneously deliver superb sound. Aimed at service providers and content distributors, Dolby Media Generator, a batch processing software tool, will enable the ingestion and management of content files for delivery over mobile networks. Dolby Media Generator will provide automatic validation and repair of source media to optimize quality control; it will also add metadata for better content discovery, as well as more accurate tracking, reporting, and file presentation.
