DVIEW business card-sized PC made from Used Mobile Phone LCD panels

DDL_Display.jpg DVIEW is a business card-sized small board PC is made by Recycling Used Mobile Phone LCD panels. Hokuto System Co Ltd, Japan has begun marketing the board PC from Nov 13, 2007.DVIEW integrates a CPU, a graphics LSI and a used mobile phone LCD panel. The DVIEW can run programs and display data on the LCD screen on its own without any other peripherals. The LCD panel is a 2.2-inch QVGA (320 x 240) resolution model. The DVIEW employed the "ARM7TDMI" core CPU. Maximum operating frequency is 81MHz. The memory device is 40-Kbyte SRAM. Compatible audio output formats include MP3, MIDI and ADPCM. DDL_Display_A.jpg

DVIEW also supports CMOS camera input and access to USB and an SD memory card, etc. Using an expansion board, the DVIEW can use USB or over a LAN as well. As such capabilities can be chosen in accordance with the application, pricing can be lowered if capabilities are reduced, DDL said.
