The S116 solar-powered mobile phone incorporates Hi-Tech Wealth’s established and well-known information security technology, supports a T-Flash card and features a 1.3 megapixel camera. Over 20 patents have been filed in China to protect the S116’s advanced technology.

When exposed to direct sunlight for 60 minutes, the S116 battery allows for 40 minutes of talk time. Even when exposed to “weak light” such as sunlight on an overcast day, indoor lighting or candle light, the S116 generates enough electricity to charge the battery. Hi-Tech Wealth has already received pre-orders for 50,000 units. The S116 retails in China for USD$510.
