Sharp develops Worlds thinnest 5 megapixel auto-focus CMOS for mobile phones

Sharp_cmos.jpg Sharp has developed the Worlds thinnest auto-focus 5 megapixel CMOS camera module RJ63SC100. for mobile phones. Sharp developed a new flat screen with high –density packaging technology for the new auto-focus CMOS. The S/N ratio is improved by 1.6 times, so that mobiles equipped with the module can take high-resolution sharp and clear images.

Sharp 5 megapixel auto-focus CMOS module measures 9.5x 9.5x 6.6 mm. Sample shipment will start from May 30 and production from June 30, 2008. Monthly production target is 400,000 units.
