VTech environmentally friendly cordless phone reduces radio frequency power by 99.9% when charging

vtech.jpg VTech has added two new models, VT9013 and VT9014, to its environmentally friendly cordless phone series for the Hong Kong market that combines energy savings with a longer talk time. Tech’s ECO DECT phone series has an ECO Mode function that reduces the overall radio frequency power by 99.9% when it is charging. In talk mode, the handset automatically adjusts and minimizes its radio frequency power according to its distance with the base unit. This cuts the handset’s power consumption while at the same time increasing the length of talk time.

VTech has developed more efficient 100% recyclable packaging. Starting from these new models, only two materials are now used in the packaging, and the box size has been reduced by 20-30%. The packaging is printed with egetable oil based inks, using fewer colours, and the printing process is alcohol free, further reducing the impact on the environment.
