LG.Philips 20.8” highest resolution color LCD panel for Medical Diagnostic

LG.Philips LCD has developed a 20.8-inch 2048 x 1536 QXGA color LCD panel for medical diagnostic equipment. It is the highest resolution panel of its size. Featuring a resolution of over three megapixels and a 600 candela brightness, the display provides the exceptionally high level of detail needed in medical devices. This panel can display 50 percent more detail than full HD TVs, which have a two-megapixel resolution. In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology allows this display to show images at wide angles without inverting colors. This is one of the most important features of medical displays, as it allows doctors to work more accurately and trust the images displayed on screen.

The 20.8-inch LG.Philips QXGA (2048 x 1536) LCD Panel will be on display at FPD International exhibition in Japan from October 24 to 26. LG.Philips LCD plans to begin mass producing this product in the first half of 2008.
