The silver colored Panasonic VDR-D400 is world’s first 3CCD DVD movie camera with 20x optical zoom.Sucessor to the famous Panasonic VDR-D300, the new Panasonic VDR D400 features 3 CCDs(800,000 pixel), 20x Leica optical zoom((F1.6~2.8), O.I.S, 2.7" LCD, SD/ SDHC card slot, joystick control for easy, one-finger navigation, 16:9 widescreen format recording, built-in LED color enhancement light, video editing software, Hi-speed USB 2 and MPEG-2 DVD recording in XP/SP/LP modes. The DVD-RAM format allows non-linear editing right in the camcorder, and gives the greatest flexibility in re-recording.

The Panasonic VDR-D400 measures 70×149×90mm and weighs 720g (fully loaded). VDR-D400 movie camera will be available from 1st September for approximately 120,000 Yen ($1050).
