Canon U.S.A., has introduced its brightest-ever REALiS Installation LCOS Projectors, which are designed to provide exceptional display performance for a wide range of professional AV markets. Incorporating multiple features for convenient installation and maintenance, the new REALiS WUX5000 and WUX5000 D Installation LCOS Projectors utilize Canon’s unique fourth-generation AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) optical technology to maximize the display capabilities of their advanced LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) imaging panels. This combination enables the projectors to deliver higher-than-HD-resolution (1920 x 1200) widescreen video and still images with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a high brightness level of 5000 lumens.

QD Laser, the Institute for Nano Quantum Information Electronics, the University of Tokyo, and Fujitsu today announced the successful development of a high-power 532 nm-wavelength compact green laser module with high efficiency and high-speed modulation capability. This module shows promise for a wide range of applications such as with florescence microscopes or spectral analysis in life science or biomedical applications, and precise measurements as well as nondestructive inspections in industry. Furthermore, it is also expected to apply to future ultra-compact projectors in consumer electronics.

LG today introduced its newest 3D projector-CF3DAT in the Korean market. The CF3DAT is a Cinema3D projector that can project a 200-inch viewing surface a wide variety of high definition 3D content utilizing its 2D to 3D conversion engine and built-in tuner. Despite its large 200-inch projection area, the LG CF3DAT projects clear and bright images, using its Full HD display (1920×1080) supported by a brightness of 1,250 ANSI lumens in 3D mode, approximately six times brighter than other premium projectors.

The new Osram OSTAR Compact 2×2 is the brightest LED of its type on the market. LEDs in the OSRAM OSTAR Compact series now offer even greater flexibility for projectors thanks to the new 2×2 version. With just one set of Red, Converted Green and Blue it is possible to achieve a luminous flux of 400 lm from the projector. The new version has been designed specifically for imager diagonals between 0.4 inches and 0.55 inches. If multiple sets of the LEDs are combined for larger imager diagonals the high projector brightness levels needed for office applications can be achieved.

Casio plans to release two new data projectors—the XJ-H1650 and XJ-H1600.
