Finetech Japan 2009, one of the world's largest FPD shows, is being held in Tokyo from April 15-17.This year in addition to the FPD Components and Material Expo and Display 2009 shows, there are two new events, Touch Panel Japan and Lighting Japan (LED/OLED Lighting Technology Expo), this year. Sony with the largest exhibition area is promoting energy saving and high performance displays. Sony 21V organic EL display and prototype 3D display are the main attraction. The new Touch Panel Japan is exhibiting the touch panel modules/displays, as well as cutting-edge technologies related to touch panels, such as components, materials, software, manufacturing and testing equipment, and ICs. The Lighting Japan focuses on next-generation lighting technologies, a segment which is attracting much attention worldwide because of its rapid growth in the market. The show also highlights environmental protection technologies. 250 exhibitors from around the worldare taking part in the show.
